Mike was recognized for his “exemplification” of Sentinel’s behaviors and values: integrity (“if he sets a commitment to a client, he not only meets it but usually exceeds it”), excellence in his work (anticipating client needs without being asked), willingness to embrace new ideas, and expertise (while also willing to turn to other members of the team to enhance his own expertise).

Will was praised for his embodiment of Sentinel’s values. He exhibits Excellence and Expertise through his client interactions (“He is able to convey topics and information to others with great patience and in a manner that is understandable to his audience”), Integrity and Empowerment through helping others in varying circumstances (“He puts others above himself and stays true to his commitments”), and Innovation through his work as DEI Advisor in bringing about awareness and change through those initiatives.

Norma was recognized for going above and beyond to help out, identifying report issues to make over 100 fixes and taking additional time to sort through rows of Excel data and txt files. She followed up with 140 participants personally to ensure their records were correct. Her nominator says, “Thank you Norma for displaying the Sentinel Way day in and day out!”

Tim was nominated for his “service excellence when dealing with clients,” and his willingness to go above and beyond. Tim serves as a resource for other team members, who hear praise from clients about Tim being “a pleasure to work with”. He was also recognized for the strong client relationships he maintained throughout ABG Michigan’s transition to Sentinel as well as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kirstyn was nominated by two different co-workers for this quarter’s Impact Player Award. She was recognized for stepping up and taking on several new plans as part of an acquisition, in addition to her own caseload, coming up on a busy deadline. She connected with the new clients and made them feel comfortable, and also worked with her teammates to pass along her knowledge and expertise of the types of plans. Kirstyn is described as “someone who is exceedingly thorough, dedicated and committed to excellent work for both her clients and the teammates she works with.”

Kendall was nominated for her improvement of the webinar process. She took the reins and managed every aspect of the prep, practice and followup, creating a repeatable process that made it easy for the nominator and other webinar hosts, even handling technical issues calmly and with ease. The nominator said “…this has since inspired me to elevate my game with our clients so that they feel the same way I felt working with Kendall”.

Angel received the annual John A. Carnevale Award for her extensive work on Sentinel’s rebrand. Her “diligence and passion” was recognized, as well as her commitment to Sentinel, leadership, thoughtfulness, energy, and more.  In addition, she became a manager of two team members in 2022, served as a leader on the DEI Advisory Council. As her nominator says, her work will “make an impact on Sentinel, its clients and employees for years to come."
